France (July 14, 2008) – As the
Tour de France hit the mountains this
week, Christian Vande Velde has made the
most of his good form and established
himself as one of the early favorites.
After a strong ride over the Col d'Aspin
and into Bagnères de Bigorre, Vande
Velde moved into 3rd in the over all G.C.
Today's mountain finish proved to be the
first test of the team's strength and
they passed with flying colors.
Vande Velde crossed the line in 10th
place, along side Cadel Evens to defend
his position in the GC.
